Zenith Ascension is the final track on Umraan Syed’s latest album, Zenith, on which I had a blast recording keyboards and vocals. It is an honor to be featured on the culminating track, the final peak of a huge work from Umraan.

J. Lincoln (M.M.) is a Chicago based educator, composer and performer. After receiving honors in chamber music at the Chicago College of Performing Arts, J. began fusing his conservatory disciplines with free improvisation, paving the way into Chicago’s highly collaborative music scene. His music creates space for musical dialogue while adhering to forms within jazz, RnB, and contemplative songs. J. Lincoln will be featured in the Opus Artist Series held in West Town, Chicago.

J. is on faculty at South Side Suzuki Cooperative and teaches theory and composition adjunctly at the Moody Bible Institute.
